PROJECTS

Co-Doped NiO Nanostructures

Synthesized Co-doped NiO nanostructures via co-precipitation for enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen evolution and asymmetric supercapacitor applications. Achieved reduced band gap (3.2 eV to 2.6 eV), improved charge separation, and high specific capacitance up to 633 F g⁻¹ with 71.21 Wh kg⁻¹ energy density.

NiPc-Based Photodetectors

Developed visible-spectrum photodetectors using Nickel Phthalocyanine (NiPc). Achieved high on/off ratio (~10⁷), photoresponsivity of 0.37 A W⁻¹, detectivity of 1.7 × 10¹³ Jones, and fast response times (205 ms rise / 696 ms decay).

Xenon Migration in Glassy Carbon

Investigated xenon ion implantation and radiation damage recovery under isochronal annealing (300–700°C) using RBS and Raman spectroscopy. Published in Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section B (Elsevier).

Radioactivity Measurement in Pakistan

Measured environmental radioactivity levels across Pakistan using radiation detection instruments. Assessed exposure levels and identified regions with elevated natural radionuclide concentrations.

Radiation Shielding – Eu₂O₃ Glasses

Synthesized Eu₂O₃-doped silicate glasses and evaluated gamma radiation shielding properties using experimental methods and WinXcom simulations to enhance material protection efficiency.

PM6:Y6 Organic Solar Cells Simulation

Modeled and analyzed inverted bulk heterojunction organic solar cells using SCAPS-1D simulation. Investigated device performance parameters to optimize efficiency and electronic transport behavior.
